Mark Bryan has been a rural veterinarian for over 35 years, with the past 30 spent serving communities across rural Southland and Otago, New Zealand. His veterinary practice employs around 50 veterinarians and delivers a broad range of services, primarily focused on production animals, with growing expertise in companion animal care.

Mark has a strong interest in the One Health approach, recognising the intrinsic connections between animal, environmental, and human health. He earned his veterinary degree from Glasgow University and holds a Master’s in Veterinary Epidemiology from Massey University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Psychology, with a focus on veterinary and rural wellbeing.
